What is the nature of communication?

Nature of Communication

Communication in nature is a two-way exchange of sentiments, ideas, and values, as well as signal clarification and skill fine-tuning.

Communication, having a symbolic nature, is the act of exchanging ones ideas, emotions, attitudes, or views with another person or group of people via words (written or spoken), gestures, signals, signs, or other forms of image transmission. Barriers to the transfer of ideas constantly exist, reducing the effectiveness of the process.

We live in a world of tremendous technological breakthroughs, where information is quick and readily available in ways it has never been before. Technology has changed the way we get information, entertain ourselves, purchase, learn, and even communicate. Despite technologys pervasive effect in our culture, there is still a strong need for people to interact in person, whether its for interpersonal, public, or group communication.
